Treating Perimenopausal Symptoms with Acupuncture, and see us at Miles for Migraine on 9/27

Acupuncture & the treatment of Perimenopausal Symptoms

Every woman's transition looks different and we work with you to adapt treatments to your specific needs.

Perimenopause can start up to 10 years before your last period, and the broad range of symptoms of irregular cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, mood changes, low libido, joint aches, and brain fog can be genuinely disruptive. You won’t have to convince us that your symptoms could be perimenopause, we can help you figure it out right from the beginning.

Every woman's transition looks different and we work with you to adapt treatments to your specific needs.

We take a comprehensive approach utilizing acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle changes. We believe in working in coordination with your OB/GYN, and/or primary care provider around labs, HRT (hormone replacement therapy), and any other treatments you're already using. This approach can reduce how much medication is needed or help manage the symptoms hormone replacement doesn't fully address.

“Throughout my decades of work in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I’ve helped women find balance and thrive. From child bearing and postpartum, to perimenopause and beyond- each phase is a delicate balance of yin and yang. Chinese medicine allows us to restore and maintain balance in the body- using acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and supplements.”

Kelly Boggs L.Ac.

“Acupuncture helps, but there’s so much more available.”

Kelly Boggs

“It’s not just the acupuncture. It’s understanding on a personal level how unheard women are in perimenopause and menopause. Being able to guide these women towards the proper resources and options is the thing I really enjoy the most!”

Julia Park

Julia Park, MSOM, L.OM

“I’m grateful to be able to support women as they navigate the transition into this new phase of life”

“There’s a great deal of focus on women’s health in regard to menstruation and fertility. However, until very recently, there hasn’t been much discussion about perimenopause/menopause and this is one of the biggest, most significant physical shifts women’s bodies go through. I enjoy supporting women’s health during all phases of life but peri/menopause have become a passion of mine because it’s been treated like a “great mystery” for ages when it’s actually just another fascinating example of how our bodies adapt.”
